At BT, we know that the UK sign community values access to information in British Sign Language (BSL).

We’ve taken the lead as the first major company in the UK to provide sign language access on our website. We hope others will follow us.

As a first step, we’ve tried to explain in BSL – and in Plain English - how broadband technology is of real benefit to sign language users.

Broadband is something new. Even the signs may be new to BSL users, so we asked Deaf BSL experts to produce a simple guide to broadband jargon which you can access. We recognise that some people may use different signs.

But our focus here is on this message: Broadband can change everyone’s life for the better!

Many deaf people already use broadband to learn and communicate in BSL. We hope – after visiting our BSL site – that more will do so.

We want everyone to benefit from the broadband revolution.
