Age Concern

Age Concern provides a free fact sheet called "Help with Telephones".

Communicability

Set up in the memory of former BT employee, James Powell, this trust helps with the provision of communications aids, equipment and related services to disabled people.

Access to Work

Many Job Centres have local Disability Service Teams who advise disabled people on all aspects of work. This includes funding via the Access to Work Scheme, and may include contributions towards the cost of telephone equipment in the workplace.

Telephones for the Blind Fund

This fund provides grants for registered blind people towards the cost of telephone installation or line rental. Applications must be made through Social Services or a recognised blind association. Tel: 01737 248032
