Will my pacemaker be affected by a telephone?

Cordless and mobile telephones use radio frequency signals to transmit calls. If you wear a pacemaker it is possible for these signals to interfere with the way it works.

We always recommend that you consult your doctor or pacemaker manufacturer if you intend to buy and use a cordless or mobile telephone.
