BT's commitment to improving web accessibility

At BT we constantly work to improve customer service and this includes the services provided through our websites. This website has been designed to high levels of accessibility and has been awarded the RNIB's 'See it Right' logo. We are also working to improve levels of accessibility on our bt.com website.

BT's Disability Champion Sally Davis says

"BT continues to develop new and innovative products to further its belief that communications make a difference to the quality of people's lives. Technology knows no bounds and we aim to give both our customers and our own people a future without barriers. Ensuring that our web sites are fully accessible to anyone who wants to use them is vitally important and designing them with a high level of accessibility in mind should just be part of what we do. Within BT, we aspire to effortless inclusion - it makes commercial, legal and social sense to open our web sites to all."

We are also working to improve levels of web accessibility for BT employees with disabilities. Over 400 BT people have successfully completed our web accessibility training those who publish, design or develop sites, services or online training courses for BT's Intranet. The RNIB have included our work in this area as an example of best practice.
