Browsealoud

textHelp Browsealoud

If you have a good understanding of English, but do not find reading easy, Browsealoud can help. The free software allows websites to be read aloud to users making them more accessible for people with a visual impairment, dyslexia or low reading skills. Mike Hughes, Head of Digital Inclusion at BT explains "We've ensured our site is compatible with Browsealoud as part of our drive to increase accessibility for all to the internet.  Our social and environmental report plus our education, volunteering, Age & Disability and community connections sites are now enabled."

Will it work on all websites?

Browsealoud will only read enabled websites. However an increasing number of sites have this facility. As well as this site the BBC, Google and many local authority sites are enabled for Browsealoud

What do I need to do?
