You're never too old to get interactive

Research recently conducted by BT has emphasised that older people are less confident at using interactive technology:

  • 9.7 million people over the age of 60, are digitally excluded in the UK.

  • 80% of 55-64 year olds who do have access to the internet, are not assertive or confident in using all the functions.

Yet, when someone takes the time to explain how to get online, this generation embraces the many benefits the internet has to offer.

BT has been working with Age Concern to raise awareness of interactive technology amongst the over 50s. The following case studies show how some older people are already making the most of getting online.
