Mrs Green discovers BT Vision and the new hub phone

Mrs Green, an older lady who is not comfortable with new technology visited the BT stand during Cowes Regatta on the Isle of Wight. She already had BT Broadband but hadn't taken up BT Vision or the offer of a hub phone because, she said, she was "Hopeless with anything complicated" and she was too afraid of being thought silly if she asked questions.

Lillian from the Consumer Affairs team spent some time with Mrs Green explaining the products and demonstrating how easy it is to use the many facilities available with BT Vision such as replay, series recording and pause live play. She also pointed out how the clear typeface on the hub phone handset and the quick dial feature made it easy to use. Finally Lillian advised Mrs Green that as a BT Total Broadband customer with BT Broadband Talk she could use her broadband connection as an extra phone line with no extra rental.

The following day Mrs Green returned to the stand to thank Lillian for her help and patience, and especially for not making her feel silly. She said that she had gone straight home the previous day and placed her order for a hub phone and BT Vision and was looking forward to using them both.
