Ordering BT Broadband

Once you have chosen your Internet Service Provider and broadband package you will want to get started as soon as possible. At BT we will provide your broadband connection and if you order online, a broadband modem free of charge. Your modem, micro-filters and software CD will be sent to you with instructions for setting up BT Broadband.

We have also written some instructions for installing broadband, to give an idea of what you need to do.

Although many people install BT Broadband themselves, if you have not used a computer before or you have a disability you might want to ask a friend or relative to give you some assistance. There are also a number of specialist organisations that can help older and disabled people get onto the Internet. You can find further details in our Using Computers and the Web section.

Alternative Media

If you choose BT Broadband please tell us if you have any special access requirements when you place your order. We can then send you your broadband set-up information in Braille, large print or on audio. We have also re-designed our set-up disks in consultation with visually impaired users to improve usability.
