Institute of Public Relations Excellence Award
This year the campaign has been awarded the Institute of Public Relations Excellence Award for Corporate Social Responsibility. The judges commented “BT's campaign is an excellent example of alignment between company strategy and social responsibility and it has proved diverse and creative.”
Business in the Community Awards for Excellence
BT's ‘Am I Listening?’ campaign has also just won the highly sought after Co-operative Financial Services Cause Related Marketing Award from Business in the Community. In association with the Financial Times and Department of Trade and Industry, the Awards for Excellence are the culmination of a rigorous process over 12 months involving 108 independent assessors from business, the not-for-profit sector and government.
BT unveils plans for the Big Listen 2004
BT has announced its plans for the Big Listen (October 25-31, 2004), which is a week dedicated to listening to young people and raising vital funds for ChildLine.
The Big Listen is part of BT's ‘Am I Listening?’ campaign, which has helped to raise more than £2.9 million for ChildLine in just two years.

- Time for Families with NFPI – This year's Big Listen coincides with Parents' Week, with its theme of Time for Families. The National Family and Parenting Institute is inviting parents, carers, children and young people all over the UK to take part in research into the way families spend time together, focusing especially on the school holidays. The NFPI is also staging two consultation events with young people and parents in London and Hull. To join in the research, download a Time Diary – your comments will be fed into a major report being published at the end of 2004. Click here to find out more about what's planned for Parents' Week.
- Big Celebrity Auction – with ‘auction lots’ contributed by Jonathan Ross, Kylie Minogue, Amy Winehouse, Prince Naseem and many others
- Interactive fun – a range of downloads will be available, including a Big Listen-O-Meter, a make-your-own collection box, quizzes and some brilliant getting-to-know-you games, ‘10-minute Listen’ and ‘10 Things I Don't Know About You’
- The Big Bag Pack – thousands of community groups, societies and schools will be packing bags for customers in local retailers around the UK (October 30)
- The Big Breakfast – members of the UK Youth Parliament and other young people will get a chance to have their voices heard by decision-makers (October 27)
- ‘Take Action!’ – the British Youth Council's guide to help young people co-ordinate lobbying activities, will be launched during the Big Listen.
