Seen & Heard 2007
This has been our best year ever for Seen and Heard entries, and our panels of young judges had a tough task selecting our 19 winners. As last year we are recognising adults as well as young people, and this year we also catch up with four winners from previous Seen and Heard reports to see the legacy of their work.
In another first for Seen and Heard, the 2007 report lets you hear the winners' amazing stories in their own words.
Rt. Hon. Ed Balls MP
Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families.
“Each year the outstanding efforts of the young people, adults and organisations featured in the Seen and Heard report are an inspirational example to us all, and I’m delighted to say that this year is no exception. The award winners have demonstrated how communication skills can be used to create positive change, both for themselves and for their friends, family and wider communities. It’s a valuable reminder of just what can be achieved when the voices of children and young people are heard and listened to – and I hope it continues to highlight the power of how positive change can be achieved through effective communication and by working together.”
