The Big Question: Transcripts

BT's ‘Am I Listening?’ campaign commissioned NOP research to uncover the Big Question on the lips of the UK's young people. What would they like most like to ask adults who can do something about it?

Charlotte

“Bullying can take place in different places. People get bullied by their religion, the way they look and their size. Adults don't take their issues very seriously, and it could make a big effect on people's lives.”

Hannah

“Yes. Or some sort of indoor shelter or park so if it was raining you could still go on the swings and stuff. Also a Wendy house for the little kids so that they'd have somewhere to play too.”

Caroline

“It would be good if victims of bullying had somewhere to go out of school, or people to talk to, and more severe deterrents for bullies. For example, bullies should miss trips and good things that schools do.”

Harry

“Something that concerns me is that young children have nowhere to go. And, I've got a big common by my house, and if there's something on there, I'm thinking, ‘stop vandalism and trouble’ – like swings and football parks.”

Kelly

“The trouble is that a few children are breaking the law and giving us a bad reputation.”
