BT MyDonate reaches 8000 charities

BT’s free online fundraising service, MyDonate, has reached a new high of 8000 charities, making it one of the most popular giving platforms in the UK.

Approximately 1,500 donations are made via MyDonate each day and over 52,000 fundraising challenges have been completed since MyDonate was launched in 2011.

Since January 2015 £15million has been raised by MyDonate fundraisers for all types of charities around the UK, including some of the biggest charities in Great Britain.

MyDonate stands out among other fundraising sites because every penny raised goes straight to the charity, with no commission fees. MyDonate is completely free, making it the perfect fundraising site for charities big and small alike.

Benefit from free online donations

Alice Hunt, head of MyDonate explains why the fundraising and donation service is such a great option for UK charities:

“We’re proud to provide free, secure donation and fundraising facilities for all UK charities and HMRC registered community groups. And unlike the majority of fundraising services we don’t charge them for being registered on the site.

If you work with a charity or community group that would benefit from free online donations or fundraising they can register at bt.com.mydonate.

Signing up is a simple process and once verified you will receive your donations weekly with no processing or commission fees. The only charges you’ll see are the standard 15p flat-rate fee for a debit card transaction, or a 1.3 per cent credit card charge. Beyond that every penny donated goes straight to charity as intended.

If you are interested in finding out more or would like to see if your charity is registered visit MyDonate’s website at mydonate.bt.com.
