Record-breaking 'Big Busk' is music to the ears

Childreach InternationalThere will be dancing in the streets next month as hundreds of buskers hit the UK's pavements in an attempt at a world record - and the chance to raise money for Childreach International.

On May 26, the ‘Big Busk’ will be held simultaneously in 19 cities, at 140 spots over a two hour period. And it will showcase 300 performers who will entertain the crowds with music, magic and much more.

All the money raised by the buskers will go towards the valuable work of Childreach International, which works to improve children's access to healthcare and education in the developing world.

This award-winning organisation arranges overseas volunteering projects in partnership with local communities. Volunteers simply have to raise funds to sponsor their places on projects and they can do this by taking part in Challenge Events, such as the Big Busk.

Said Angie Windle from Childreach International: "The Big Busk will be a great day out with so many exciting acts to see. For those taking part, it’s a chance to be part of a Guinness World Record attempt. Let’s be honest, that doesn't happen every day."

Childreach International has also made the decision to collect all the proceeds via BT's MyDonate online donation platform, thus ensuring that all the money goes directly to the charity. Find out more about Childreach International’s work.
