2nd Bedford Boys' Brigade marks their 60th anniversary by giving back to local community

Bedford Boys Brigade

The 2nd Bedford Boys’ Brigade company is embarking on a number of fundraising projects in celebration of its forthcoming 60th anniversary in 2016.

The boys and girls, aged 5-18, are firmly focused on ‘giving back’ to the community and will be fundraising for a number of local charities.

Fundraising for local charities

Monies raised will support a number of charities in the community, which recently have included: The Bedford and District Cerebral Palsy Society, the Bedford Foodbank, Keech Cottage Hospice and a collection for the local Christmas shoebox appeal. More local charities are set to benefit from the fundraising campaign during 2015.

Improving inclusion to the Boys’ Brigade

Funds raised will also boost the Bedford company’s ‘needy fund’ which helps less well off members attend events such as outings, camps and training and also makes the group fully accessible to children with disabilities.
