Bupa Great South runners cap memorable year with record-breaking event
Around 25,000 people pounded the streets of Portsmouth at the weekend as part of what’s being described as the biggest ever Bupa Great South Run.
According to local reports it’s estimated that some £3m has been raised for good causes as people ran, jogged and walked for their favourite charities.
The Bupa Great South Run was the last in a series of events this year.
MyDonate programme director, Janet McGarraghy, said:“ As the online partner to the Bupa series of events, we’re delighted to have been involved in all the ‘Great Run’ events this year.”
“We know how hard people work not just train for these events, but also to raise funds. We want to congratulate everyone who took part.”
“And by using MyDonate, people know that every penny raised goes to their chosen charity,” she added.
