Countdown to the T4G Awards

AbilityNet logoThe clock is ticking towards the start of this year's Technology4Good (T4G) Awards with judges claiming that the 'quality of the entries was noticeably higher than last year'.

More than 200 entries were received this year and these have been cut to just 26 finalists.

Organised by AbilityNet and BT, these unique awards recognise and celebrate the work of individuals, charities and businesses that use technology in many different ways to change people's lives.

And although there is no cash prize previous past winners have benefitted greatly from the increased publicity the awards have generated. This has resulted in additional income, greater levels of support and a huge amount of recognition for staff, volunteers and supporters.

For example, last year's overall winner – children's hospice charity LifeLites - increased their income by nearly £100,000 thanks to the opportunities the awards bought them.

The results of the T4G awards will be announced on Friday 6th July 2012 at an Awards Ceremony at the BT Centre in London.
