IoF fundraising convention set to be a sell-out
This year’s Institute of Fundraising (IoF) National Convention at the Hilton London Metropole is once again expected to be a sell-out with more than 2,200 people attending the annual event.
The three-day convention – 2-4 July – is the biggest event of its kind in Europe and gives visitors the opportunity to improve their fundraising skills and network with others.
Nick Hurd, Minister for Civil Society will address the convention followed by an opportunity for delegates to speak directly to policy makers and to ensure their voice is heard.
The event also tackles the major issues facing fundraisers today and one topic high on the list this year is the use of technology to help boost budgets.
Said Peter Lewis, chief executive at the IoF: “Everyone knows we are working against a particularly difficult economic backdrop. Despite this, the amount raised for good causes has broadly stayed stable over the last couple of years.
“With more and good causes wanting additional funding, the key for fundraisers is how to secure your slice of that money. The IoF National Convention is a great way to find out some of the answers,” said Peter.
