KidsOut puts MyDonate at the heart of online strategy
A new website, a deeper engagement with social media and increased used of the MyDonate fundraising platform are all beginning to pay dividends for KidsOut, the national charity which gives disadvantaged children positive experiences to support them becoming future members of our society and workforce.
The charity’s recently implemented online strategy includes an accelerated move into the world of Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn etc, as well as making MyDonate a key component of its online vision.
David Cosham, chief executive of KidsOut explained: “Our new website is a significant step for us because it’s a lot more than just a cosmetic refurbishment of our old site. It really is something different and has become the central pillar of KidsOut’s bright and bold online vision.”
“We are also now using social media to engage more effectively with our supporters and this combines nicely with the functionality and strengths of MyDonate which is now at the heart of our charity’s online donations strategy.”
Added David: “For our part, we are taking every opportunity we can to talk to our donors and supporters about the benefits of MyDonate . They seem to be getting the message, because from what I can see, based on recent monthly donation figures, there seems to be a substantial migration towards MyDonate and away from one or two other services.”
“MyDonate gives us a real talking point,” continued David. “It opens up an opportunity to chat with the people who mean a lot to us. It amplifies what we are saying about our new website and works brilliantly alongside our use of social media.”
