NCVO annual conference: providing practical and motivating advice for the voluntary sector
Anyone working in the voluntary sector is being invited to take part in the annual National Council for Volunteer Organisations (NCVO) annual conference.
Sponsored by the Co-operative Bank and BT MyDonate, the event will focus on offering practical and motivating advice - as well as opportunities to help voluntary sector organisations through these economically uncertain times.
Scheduled to take place on March 5th at The Brewery in London and entitled Moving Forwards Solutions and Inspirations, the day will be packed with stimulating interactive workshops, designed to encourage groups to consider alternative solutions in these times of cut backs.
There will also be plenty of information on hand, from how to unlock funds to how to use social media for collaborative purposes. Representatives from BT MyDonate will be on hand to discuss the advantages that the new online platform offers to those in charity sector.
Keynote speakers include Ziad Abdel Samad the chief executive of the Arab NGO Network for Development (ANND). He will be discussing the lessons we should take from the Arab Spring and from considering human rights, gender, environmental and social issues.
The conference is also the perfect occasion to network with 650 colleagues from across the voluntary sector. It is an opportunity to rub shoulders with policy makers, funders, and opinion formers that shouldn’t be missed.
