Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) choses MyDonate for online fundraising

Stand Up To CancerMyDonate is set to play a key role in a new national fundraising campaign - Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) - spearheaded by Cancer Research UK.

The aim of SU2C is simple: to raise millions for research to help develop new cancer treatments within the next three years.

The highlight of the campaign is a Channel 4 TV extravaganza n London on Friday 19 October, which brings together a unique mix of entertainment, science and fundraising.

The show is to be hosted by Davina McCall, Alan Carr and Dr Christian.

BT is behind the MyDonate for Telethons and Appeals service which will deliver the vital fundraising element of the live show. The company will also provide telecoms infrastructure and network management for the event.

BT’s expertise and technology will help thousands of callers to make a donation to SU2C.

Said Liz Williams, BT’s Improving Lives programme director: “BT’s MyDonate secure online fundraising service will help hundreds of volunteers across the country take donations from thousands of callers throughout the show.

“You can find more information about SU2C online, and don’t forget to use MyDonate to support the campaign or make your donation – that will ensure every penny raised goes to the appeal,” she said.
