Tech4Good - BT MyDonate Fundraising Award - Entries open!

Tech4Good Awards 2016

From 3D-printed bionic limbs to an app that helps support homeless people – the Tech4Good Awards showcases digital technology that’s making the world a better place.

The awards are returning for a sixth year, organised by national charity AbilityNet, and supported by BT. There are seven award categories, each of which celebrates the unique and useful inventions in technology that can help improve people’s lives.

This year, there are two new awards. The BT MyDonate Fundraising Award is for individuals, charities or businesses that have used technology to fundraise or help charities raise more money for good causes. The BT Young Pioneer Award is for inspiring examples of how young people are using tech to tackle a problem that they care about.

The awards are free to enter and they’re a great way to reflect and celebrate the fantastic work you’ve been doing. Maybe you’ve found an innovative way to harness your social channels, a new app or a digital campaign. You can also nominate others for their efforts at using technology to fundraise or to increase money raised.

Entries are open until 5pm on Friday 6 May with the winners being announced in July.

So if you’re a tech wizard, know someone else who is – or would like to reward a company that has made a difference to people’s lives with digital tech, you can nominate yourself or someone else in any one of the seven categories:

  • Accessibility Award
  • BT MyDonate Fundraising Award
  • Community Impact Award
  • Digital Health Award
  • Digital Skills Award
  • IT Volunteer of the Year Award
  • Young Pioneer Award
