BT and the London 2012
Olympic and Paralympic Games
As official communications partner
of London 2012, BT designed and delivered a flawless, integrated communications infrastructure.
It was our fibre-based network that delivered TV coverage of the Games from the majority of Olympic venues
to the International Broadcast Centre,
for transmission across the world.
BT and fibre broadband
We're committed to rolling-out fibre broadband (with speeds of up to 80 Mbps) to two-thirds of UK premises
by spring 2014 - more than 18 months ahead of our original schedule.
BT is also working to make broadband even faster. Right now we are trialling one Gigabit fibre broadband speeds in the UK for residential customers.
Wi-Fi - communications

In the modern world, communications are increasingly becoming wireless. BT's wireless broadband footprint,
BT Wi-Fi, is now the world's largest public wi-fi network.
We have four millions hotspots in the UK and Ireland (including 500,000+ across London and a further three million and growing international hotspots).

Most of the world's large multinational corporations includng respected brands such as Unilever, Microsoft, Pepsico, Fiat, Thomson-Reuters and many, many more, rely on BT Global Services for the services they need to compete in the global market.
We also serve many of the UK's largest corporations and are one of the largest suppliers of networked IT services to the UK government.
BT Vision - brilliant TV from BT
BT Vision gives viewers access to more than 10,000 TV programmes including around 750 films from the latest blockbusters to family favourites.
And BT has been awarded the live rights for the 2013/14 to 2015/16 Premier League seasons offering customers access to 38 live games per season.

the environment and making a positive contribution to society by investing
BT Sport launched in summer 2013 with 3 channels, BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN, packed with world class sport.
There will be 38 live and exclusive football matches from the Barclays Premier League, including 18 'first pick' matches.
