AT&T solution will integrate bank's locations in Texas
|
AT&T has won a three-year $1.8 million (£899,318) network services contract from Texas independent financial group Broadway Bank.
Under the agreement - which AT&T says renews and expands a long-standing relationship between the two companies - the US telecoms operator will replace Broadway Bank's current frame relay and asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) network platforms with a multi-protocol label switching (MPLS)-based virtual private network (VPN) and ethernet services. AT&T says its solution will integrate Broadway Bank's 36 locations, including banking centres, its corporate office in San Antonio and its back-up site. It will also provide video-conferencing. Broadway Bank executive vice-president and chief information officer Tom Llewellyn said: "We expect the upgrade will boost bandwidth and give all employees access to the same critical applications, regardless of their location or access links. “The overall cost effectiveness of the solution will allow us to invest in our business in this highly-competitive industry."
