Adam joins UN debate

world being heated up

Climate change is at the centre of a UN debate at Windsor Castle

BT’s Adam Oliver is taking part in a major debate being held by the United Nations (UN) at Windsor Castle today (Wednesday).

The event - called the Windsor Health Dialogues - is designed to provide a chance for leaders from government, business and other organisations to exchange views and come up with ideas for future UN policies and projects.

Delegates will be discussing how to tackle climate change, strengthen and develop health systems to cope with the effects of global warming, and the part new resources and technologies can play.

BT Group head of corporate social responsibility and age and disability research programmes Adam Oliver will join other leaders including Google director Larry Brilliant as a panellist.

The event is being held at George’s House within Windsor Castle itself - which was established in 1348 as a place where leaders would meet to discuss ideas and solutions to the problems of the day.

Adam said: “I’m looking forward to taking part in these debates which are an important way for the UN to come up with a concerted and co-ordinated response to these important issues.”
