Master game to hone skills

The Talent Master Game is open to a select number of people in the EMEA and Latin America region

BT Global Services in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Latin America is challenging emerging talents in the business to a master game designed to develop their skills and help the region through its transformation journey.

The initiative is part of the “organise better” workstream of the BT Global Services Butterfly transformation programme, which sets out three main priorities - to accelerate growth and efficiency, spend more time with customers, and learn from and share success stories.

The Talent Master Game (TMG) is open to a select number of people working in all lines of business within the EMEA and Latin America region.

The game involves a series of training projects designed to drive change through the organisation and offer each participant a high level of exposure to senior stakeholders. In addition, participants will take part in a series of virtual thought-provoking sessions aimed at helping them develop as global leaders.

The projects have been identified by the EMEA and Latin America country managers and focus on ways to create innovative customer solutions.

Participants have been grouped into teams, each of them being allocated a coach for the duration of the game. They will also work closely with their sponsor, a country manager, and their business advisor, a subject matter expert, and will be provided with a number of tools and tips to help them.

Pavica Barr, head of organisation capability for EMEA and Latin America, said: “Working outside of their standard roles, the participants will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the EMEA and Latin America business, customers and critical leadership issues, while building their personal brand and developing their network of contacts across the business. They will have an opportunity to make a real difference to the business through the game, and learn and develop at the same time.”

The game will culminate in October when each team will present its project to a panel of judges - including Luis Alvarez, BT president of EMEA and Latin America and sponsor of the TGM, and BT chairman Mike Rake, before the winning team is announced.

Anyone with questions about the TMG can e-mail Haylie Herrick.
