Trevor takes to the stage . . .

Trevor Higgins, BT Retail regional manager for Yorkshire & The Humber, took to the stage of the Carriage Works Theatre in Leeds to spread the word about the benefits of flexible working.

Trevor was a guest speaker at the Jobshare-UK conference and exhibition, promoting the business case for work-life balance.

Over 100 delegates attended the event, which was sponsored by regional development agency Yorkshire Forward and organised in partnership with Working Families and the UK Resource Centre for Women in Science Engineering and Technology.

Barbara Keeley, Parliamentary private secretary to Labour deputy leader Harriet Harman, gave the keynote address.

Trevor used BT’s own case as a prime example of how a company can benefit from implementing a flexible working policy. Together with the West Yorkshire Employee coalition BT has formed a forum for proactive employers in the region to learn and share good practice in flexible working.
