Gary joins Israeli conference

BT is being represented by Gary Shainberg at the first annual conference in Israel hosted by President Shimon Peres, which ends today (Thursday).
Gary - BT’s vice-president of global technology and innovation support - received one of only a handful of invitations issued to UK companies to the three-day Israeli Presidential Conference, which is taking place in Jerusalem. The event marks the 60th anniversary of Israel and is being used as a platform to communicate the country’s accomplishments to the international community. The conference theme is Facing Tomorrow and the event is focusing on the trends and developments that are mapping the future and how they will affect “the global tomorrow, the Jewish tomorrow and the Israeli tomorrow”. Guests include business leaders, religious leaders, political leaders and the next generation of entrepreneurs. Those scheduled to attend include US President George Bush, and former Prime Minister Tony Blair. The event is being organised by an independent think tank called the Jewish People Policy Planning Institute.
