Sorting out the winner

Today (18 June ) is the moment of truth for the six teams in BT Operate’s ‘simply . . . sorting it’ mini-challenge cup competition.

BT Operate’s executive board will be choosing the winner at the final which takes place at the BAFTA award venue in London hosted by chief executive BT Operate Roel Louwhoff.

The six finalists are the Consultec Synchronisation Squad, Night Team Magic, The Light Workers, Servqual 4, The Lancashire Service Squad and the BEI Blitzers. For a preview of their ideas and a quick interview with a member of each team, watch the video.

In total, the competition attracted 45 submissions from teams which wanted to make a difference to the customer experience.

One of the judges, Walter Kok, managing director business operations and transformation, said: "I have been a judge before in many 'competitions', but I can honestly say this has been one of the most difficult.

“The quality of the initiatives is at such a high level that it is extremely difficult to identify a winner. I have been very impressed too by the energy and drive that the teams demonstrated on the calls when they presented their ‘simply . . . sorting it’ project.”
