Ian sees Wholesale in operation

BT chief executive Ian Livingston visited City Place in Gatwick, Sussex, to see BT Wholesale in operation.

In a visit instigated by Mick Wayman, managing director of BT Wholesale customer service, Ian got an overview of activities carried out by the customer service team before being given a review of the top 15 customers, tools and systems and BT Wholesale customer service’s focus for the future.

Ian spent time with Cameron Rejali, managing director of BT Wholesale products, and his team, reviewing broadband performance and innovation in the broadband showcase on site, followed by time with the desk-based account team where he was able to see the sales toolkit and gain an insight to the sales strategy and recent wins.

Next, Ian met Clive Goodwin, financial director, BT Wholesale markets, and the finance team in City Place who overview activities around billing, revenue assurance, customer and contract profitability and margin management.

Ian also visited Openreach people in the building, and later in the day, he led a round-table discussion with Mick Wayman and around 20 colleagues representing a cross-section of the BT Wholesale business where he outlined his priorities for BT.

Mick said: “This was only Ian’s second day in his new role, and it was great to have him visit City Place and spend time with the teams that deal with BT Wholesale customers on a day-to-day basis.”
