Eggheads are quiz champs

teams at quiz night

The site quiz night was a real winner – for the teams and their chosen charity

An evening of brain-testing teasers awaited people from Sheffield when they met for a site quiz night.

The billing and enquiries and business repair teams were joined by colleagues from the nuisance calls bureau for the fun event that involved six rounds of general knowledge questions.

Thirteen teams battled it out, under the direction of quiz master and head of billing and enquiries contact eradication Rick Parsons, to be crowned site quiz champions - a title eventually taken by repair advisors The Eggheads.

Sector manager Amanda Kirtley and general manager billing and enquiries UK operations Nick Robinson were there to join in the fun, which included a raffle - prizes ranging from tickets to watch Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United football teams to bottles of wine and a cricket bat were on offer.

By the end of the night more than £250 had been raised for charity, with quiz winners The Eggheads nominating the Sheffield Children’s Hospital to receive the donation.

Centre manager Wendy Parkes said: “The evening was a great way of thanking everyone for their continued hard work and support while at the same time making a lot of money for a very worthy cause.

“It was the first event of its kind we’ve run but I don’t think it will be the last and we’re looking forward to another action-packed night of fundraising for our favourite local charities soon.”
