A North East Openreach man has seen his football team reach unprecedented levels of success.
Andy Upperton, of the Newcastle complex workflow and allocation team, is captain of his local football team, Murton AFC, who are celebrating winning the Durham Football Association Trophy for the first time.
Murton beat Whitehill Welfare 3-1 in the final. Andy’s team has also gained promotion to the Premier Division of the Northern Alliance.
