Peter supports Africa project

Peter Leonhardt is helping schools and health centres in Tanzania
|
Peter Leonhardt, of BT Operate technical support, has travelled to Tanzania to take part in a project to install communication equipment in schools, health centres and government offices in remote parts of the country.
Peter is helping on a project run by the organisation Information Technology for Rural Development (IT4RD). Peter will spend two weeks in the East African country after discovering the work of IT4RD during his BT Masters course and writing his dissertation on the subject. Following his return to the UK, Peter is due to give a presentation at the London congress of FITCE - the forum for European information communication technology professionals - next month on the use of appropriate telecoms systems in schools in developing countries.
