It's triple gold for BT ambassador Chris Hoy.

BT ambassador Chris Hoy has scored a hat-trick of gold medals after beating fellow Brit Jason Kenny in the men’s cycling sprint today (Tuesday).
The win puts Chris firmly in the record books as the first Briton in 100 years to win three golds at the same Olympic Games. He had already notched up gold in both the team sprint and keirin at the weekend. In the best-of-three races, Chris narrowly beat Jason by half a wheel’s length in the first, but dominated the second race. The win has helped Team GB stay at third place in the medals table, behind China and the USA. Now all eyes are on BT ambassador Shanaze Reade - the BMX champion from Crewe. Shanaze begins her bid for gold tomorrow (Wednesday), hoping to win a place in Thursday’s final. Chris and Shanaze are two of the elite athletes in the BT Ambassadors for London 2012 programme launched earlier this year by BT as Official Communications Services Partner for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games
