Livery spreads 2012 message

Olympics van

Around 50 BT vans already bear the new London 2012 livery

BT is spreading the news of its partnership with the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games with a distinctive new livery for some BT vehicles.

The wraparound livery highlights the fact that BT is Official Communications Services Partner for London 2012.

Around 50 previously BT-liveried vans operated by BT payphones now bear a new 2012 corporate livery and can already be seen on streets in London and the Home Counties. And, over the next week, another 20 vehicles will receive the livery.

Between now and November, another 150 BT payphones vehicles will appear with the livery across England and Wales.

The full-colour livery features a picture of two girls on the nearside, a young black man on the offside, with a "Bringing it all together for London 2012" graphic on the bonnet. The work to decorate the vehicles is being undertaken by BT’s existing livery contractor Stewart Signs.

The vehicles were unveiled outside City Hall in London where they were joined by the similarly liveried BT hot air balloon. Around 240 London taxis have also been decorated with the same livery.

Suzi Williams, director of group marketing and brand, said a more extensive programme will be introduced shortly, with thousands of Openreach vans being decorated with the Openreach London 2012 branding on their rear doors.

“The new livery stands out well and is already building excitement around BT’s involvement as Official Communications Services Partner for the London 2012 Games,” said Suzi. ''This new look is also a great reflection of BT's inspiring and energetic business, and a cost-effective way to build the BT brand with customers across the country every day''.
