New shop without walls kicks off

Footballers are helping to kick off a new BT "shop without walls" at PC World in Manchester tomorrow (Saturday).

Ex-Manchester City player Shaun Goater and ex-Manchester United player Lee Sharpe will be at the store on Chester Road, Stretford, from 12 noon until 5pm signing autographs.

The BT Vision female promotional team will be dressed in the BT Vision football kit, accompanied by a male "referee" grabbing the attention of football fans and shoppers with eye-catching, entertaining and interactive street football activity.

PC World in Manchester is hosting the latest shop without walls to be opened by BT Retail. It will sell a range of BT products including broadband, home phones and home computing products.

The team running the outlet is able to place customer sales and track orders as well as assist with certain billing/customer queries. The outlet will also give customers an alternative to existing telephone and web channels.

The opening event has attracted the interest of the local media with radio stations Key 103, Pure FM and BBC Radio Manchester planning to attend and do interviews.

“It promises to be a lively event and we hope people from BT in the area will come along and join in the fun,” said Sandra Graham, senior employee communications manager.
