Focus on benefits of NGA

Delegates will hear about the importance of broadband to regional economic success

 

The South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) is holding its next generation access (NGA) conference at BT Centre in London today (Monday), hosted by BT regions.

The event is being attended by senior representatives from private and public sector organisations across England, Scotland and Wales.

They will hear about the benefits and opportunities the adoption and effective use of broadband offers - and its importance to regional economic success.

SEEDA chief executive Jim Brathwaite is chairing the conference. Speakers include BT Group director of industry policy and regulation Emma Gilthorpe, Broadband Stakeholders Group chief executive Antony Walker, Sam Sharps from the Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR), and Clive Carter from regulator Ofcom.

BT regions managing director John Anderson said: “We are keen to partner with people who share our vision for the next phase of the broadband revolution - and we look forward to discussing with our regional partners ways we might work together to ensure super-fast broadband is built when and where it is most needed.”
