BT’s Carson Dalton has been named Young Public Relations (PR) Professional of the Year at the Asia Pacific PR Awards event.
The awards - which are independently judged by a panel of leading agency and in-house PR practitioners - are seen as the highest accolade in the PR industry in Asia. Carson, head of corporate communications for BT’s India business, was one of 16 PR professionals who were nominated for his award, which recognises the talent of people aged under 30 across the region. Richard Wright, head of corporate communications and public relations for the BT Asia Pacific region, said: “Carson was nominated for his excellent work in transforming BT's communications effectiveness across India. “In particular, his efforts in implementing a PR plan with a business strategy as the core objective, and a strong thought leadership focus, has clearly resulted in a strong return on investment. “His work in generating coverage for BT’s global corporate social responsibility story has also had a very positive impact for BT’s Indian community investment activities. His award is well deserved and brings considerable recognition to BT in the region.”
