Dubai businesses learn about the benefits of BT security solutions
|
More than 300 managers attending a security roadshow in Dubai have had a chance to learn about the advantages offered to business by BT’s convergence security solutions.
Speaking at the IT Security, Storage and Business Continuity Roadshow - organised by market intelligence group IDC - BT Global Services senior security specialist Hannes Lubich said the convergence of information communication technology (ICT) infrastructures is an ongoing trend, motivated by the desire to limit the growth of costs and complexity. “A converged, collaborative ICT infrastructure is the target and must therefore be designed for maximum resilience,” he told the audience of security professionals from key Dubai businesses. “It is important to preserve the reliability and confidentiality of your company’s information and IT resources. The challenge is to back up the effectiveness of implemented network security controls, while mitigating vulnerabilities.” BT’s contribution to the roadshow also included a display of BT products - giving Hannes and the local BT sales team an opportunity to talk about the benefits of Quickstart, BT’s business security solution launched in the Middle East earlier this year.
