BT people in the India city of Mumbai are safe and well following the terrorist attacks there, according to BT security.
All permanent employees and contractors in the city have been accounted for and there has been no damage to any BT buildings. The company has issued a ban on travel to India for all BT employees until further notice. People should also not travel within India on BT business. The BT security website will carry the latest information as the situation in Mumbai changes. Any employees with concerns about colleagues missing in the city should contact BT security on 0800 321999 (in the UK) or +44 1908 64110 (outside the UK.) News reports say that more than 100 people have been killed and around 250 injured in the attacks in the tourist and financial areas of the city. It is also believed terrorists are holding a number of hostages in different locations.
