The ATP accreditation is the result of great teamwork

BT’s ability to take new and exciting technologies to its customers has been given a boost - thanks to a top accreditation.

BT - led by BT iNet - has achieved data centre unified computing authorised technology provider (ATP) status from Cisco Systems after completing training to design, sell, deliver and support the Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) in just three months.

It’s the result of great teamwork by BT iNet, BT Engage IT and BT Global Services, according to BT iNet managing director Neil Pemberton.

“BT iNet is delighted to be recognised with BT for this important technology accreditation,” he said. “This further underlines our commitment to deliver Cisco-based propositions across the entire communications spectrum.

“We have always prided ourselves in our ability to take new and exciting technologies to our customers to transform and improve the way they do business.

“With the addition of Cisco’s UCS product line to our data centre and virtualisation portfolio, BT is strategically positioned to offer some of the most advanced data centre propositions to the market today.”

Impressive

The Cisco UCS unites network, computational, storage access and virtualisation resources in a single energy-efficient system - helping to reduce costs and the complexity of IT infrastructure, extend capital assets and improve business agility well into the future.

Lori Vokes, director of BT channels at Cisco, said: “The focus BT has put on achieving this has been incredible - and to achieve ATP status in only three months is very impressive.”

BT iNet is a Cisco centre of excellence for business and organisational solutions specialising in infrastructure, security, unified communications and mobility requirements that underpin BT’s information communication technology transformation vision.
