Women will share experiences of working in the business and public sectors
|
BT is supporting International Women’s Day next month by hosting a major networking event at the BT Tower in London.
The event - on Monday 8 March - will bring together members of the BT Women’s Network and its counterpart groups in the Sussex Police and Thames Valley Police to share best practice on achieving work-life balance. Mike Blackburn, director of central government and home affairs in BT Global Services, said: “This is a valuable opportunity to hear both the public and private sector perspectives on key areas such as flexible working and enhance our knowledge.” World celebration Dee Shelford, chairman of the BT Women’s Network, said: “We’ve called this event Stepping Up - because we hope that by sharing experiences we can help each other shape women’s future in business and the public sector.” Speakers include BT Group director of people and policy Caroline Waters and president of the Association of Chief Police Officers Hugh Orde. The event will take place along with thousands of others around the world aimed at inspiring women and celebrating their achievements.
