The BT Benevolent Fund is a charity which seeks to assist current and former BT employees and their families that are suffering financial hardship. It makes cash grants and loans available to employees and pensioners in urgent financial distress.

Subscriptions start at £1 monthly but benefits are not restricted to subscribers.

The fund is run by a small team of part-time home workers and the telephone is frequently on answerphone. The messages are accessed regularly throughout the working day and calls are returned promptly.
