BT has teamed up with Thomson Netg to provide FREE online training for all BT employees, their family and friends. The LearnBT programme allows BT employees to provide access to a range of free, home related e-learning programmes for up to six people of their choosing. Initial registration is via the Route2Learn site, so you will need BT intranet access to complete this part of the process. Simply follow the instructions and enter the e-mail addresses for the people you want to register. The details that your family members and friends will need to access the service will be e-mailed to them, once you have registered them. You do not have to register everyone at the same time. Access to the NETg site should be via users' own PCs. The use of BT machines is currently not allowed for security reasons. Access to courses is via the internet. Although this will work with any connection, broadband is best. A free broadband offer is available for BT employees only. While the courses are free, users have to pay whatever internet connection charge they normally pay. Many of the courses are downloadable and can be completed off-line.
