The role of Corporate Affairs is to build and protect BT’s reputation, through development of relationships with government, industry bodies, media and the third sector, and help build pride and engagement across BT Group. Tech Literacy is one of the key strategic campaigns within Corporate Affairs. On our tech literacy internship, you will help to manage this campaign by supporting external affairs which will include managing relationships with key external organisations.
But what is Tech Literacy?
Today the UK faces a major challenge: the next generation grow up surrounded by technology, but too many have no idea how it actually works and don’t grasp how it will shape their futures. This matters because our lives and work depends on technology, so not harnessing its potential may be the difference between getting left behind or getting ahead. We are dedicated to helping to build a culture of tech literacy in the UK so that young people grow up with the tech know-how to step up to the jobs of the future

The internship will expose you to the wider workings of our Corporate Affairs function across a huge variety of specialisms including public relations, public affairs, media, marketing and internal communications.
Working on our tech literacy campaign will give you experience of managing relationships with key external organisations to help drive positive perception of BT and bring insight into the business to grow our strategic plans and help skill the UK’s future workforce.
