We're a 1,000 strong team of sales, marketing and commercial experts based all over the UK. Our role is to serve over 1.1m UK SME customers to help their businesses thrive. You'll be helping us do that by putting them at the heart of everything we do – that means understanding their business needs delivering the right telecommunications products and services to help them make connections and delight their customers.

Opportunities can become available in any of our teams including:

  • Marketing and propositions. This team creates exciting customer offers and campaigns. They also deliver propositions based on customer demand which help differentiate us from the competition.
  • The Trading team. They help us make the most of our channels-to-market based on how our customers want to be served and purchase our products and services. That could be face to face sales, ringing into a contact desk, or buying online – we have a multi-channel approach.
  • Our Desk Based Sales team are responsible for driving continued growth through traditional inbound, outbound and retention.
  • Our Partner sales team help us win business by working with our indirect partners who sell BT products on our behalf.
  • Field sales work with and support our Local Businesses who sell BT products on our behalf.

Andrew Park

Andrew Park - Business Sales Advisor, SME

Hi there, I’m Andrew Park and I’m a business sales advisor in the Small and Medium Enterprises team. I started working for BT in January 2016, after graduating in business management from the University of Aberdeen.

I’m based in the Glasgow office and my job means I deal with inbound sales calls from customers with small to medium sized businesses. I get the opportunity to speak to new customers every day but I also get the chance to build relationships with other customers over a period of time while setting up their service and managing their accounts.

My induction journey with BT was very smooth. I first had six weeks of face to face training with experienced trainers - it really was first class and one of the reasons I wanted to join BT.

Today as part of my job there are lots of challenges and there is still lots to learn, but I’m lucky to work within a supportive team of nine colleagues, including my manager.

My favourite things about the role today is the satisfaction I get when completing a complicated or large customer order – and it’s good to see how much the customer appreciates it when you go the extra mile for them. Also, BT rewards you well if you hit your targets and that motivates me greatly.



Michelle McCusker

Michelle McCusker – Business Sales Manager, SME

Hi, I’m Michelle McCusker and I manage a team of 10 inbound sales agents who look after small and medium enterprise businesses throughout the UK and Northern Ireland. We sell a wide range of products from lines and fibre broadband, to mobiles and cloud services.

Since joining BT in 1999 as a sales agent I’ve had opportunities to progress my career across a wide range of roles.

I’ve always felt very proud to work for BT. It’s a company that offers fantastic opportunities to develop your skills. The training and support offered by the company is excellent and I have recently completed my NVQ level 3 in business management - as part of our future leaders’ programme which is another opportunity for people to grow and progress.

I love that BT is committed to delivering its corporate responsibility goals too. It’s given me a chance to work as a connected communities champion, delivering computer based skills and technology training to over 5,000 people in Northern Ireland. I also had the privilege to carry the Paralympic torch in Belfast for the 2012 Olympics and am volunteering representative for our Desk-based Sales team so regularly get involved in lots of fun fundraising/giving back activities.



Declan Cooley

Declan Cooley, Regional Sales Manager – North, SME

Hi, I’m Declan Cooley, regional sales manager for the Small and Medium Enterprises team.

Let me start by asking if you’re looking for a challenging, rewarding and fulfilling role? An opportunity to develop personally and career progression? An environment that empowers you to push yourself further to deliver for customers? Or maybe you’re more interested in company wide recognition for the excellent job that you do? I joined BT 13 years ago as a sales executive on an agency contract. Within six months I was given a BT contact and a year later I became a sales manager. Eleven years on I have fulfilled a number of stimulating, challenging, exciting and rewarding roles within the Small to Medium Enterprises team. I am currently managing a sales team across the North of the UK who together work to deliver great solutions for our customers to help their businesses thrive.

If you do a great job BT will recognise you. I have been lucky to win national awards and I’ve also recognised at a regional level through numerous monthly recognition rewards. We also have great pay plans that reward great performance and drive you that extra bit further.
