Our Manager Jules is our overall Chairman's Awards winner

A generator we donated to Haiti was a life-saver for villagers following Hurricane Matthew.
It pumped clean drinking water to villagers at a critical time – helping to reduce the spread of cholera.
Sir Mike Rake praised Jules Muller, who came up with the idea. He picked Jules as his overall Chairman’s Awards winner at this year’s ceremony. Jules was also crowned international volunteer of the year, winning a total of £7,000 for the project he supports.
The cost to move the generator from Luxembourg to other BT premises was too high. So Jules proposed offering it to the charity OTM Haiti.
Jules spent 80 hours refurbishing the technical parts and liaising with Luxembourg energy grid operator CREOS to ship the generator to Haiti. It was working when Hurricane Matthew struck.
Jules says: “To win a prize is wonderful. It is confirmation to carry on the relationship. We have a number of projects going on to build schools in the area.”
And Sir Mike says: “Jules showed persistence and determination to work through bureaucracies to export and import the generator. It also shows a re-use of assets which is good for environment.”
