Are you making the most of the MyDonate charity reports?

Charty Report

Fundraising is incredibly rewarding, but keeping on top of every single element can be a complex process – especially if you have multiple events or pages running. Here are four different, easily downloadable reports from MyDonate that will help you to reduce your admin time.

1. Charity Donations report

The clue is in the name here. This Microsoft Excel report is helpful for charities; it lists all donations received on the charity page, who the donations are from, and the value of the donation. Charities can view details of all donations received via fundraisers or donors to your charity.

2. Payments report

Want to check donations have made it to your bank account safely? This report lists all payments to help charities to reconcile fundraising income.

  • Weekly downloadable reports - useful for income forecasting and bank reconciliation
  • Payment advice sent by email from BT
  • Visibility of donation types e.g. direct donations vs. those coming from an appeal or event page

Every penny of the money that donors contribute (excluding credit and debit card charges) is paid into your bank account. If your charity is registered and validated with HMRC for Gift Aid BT can collect Gift Aid on your behalf, without any charge, to maximise your fundraising.

3. Events report

Similar to the payments report, the events report provides a summary of the fundraising performance of that event via a handy Microsoft Excel extract. The data enables charities to list out the types of fundraising events people are undertaking e.g. runs vs. bake offs as well as one-off vs. reoccurring donations from individuals.

4. Fundraisers’ report

If you’re a fundraiser who has created a page (or several) for charity, then this report is for you. A fundraiser can run regular reports of all donations made to their fundraising page/s or sign up to get alerts when donations are made or targets are met. This report offers line-by-line functionality to track donations. Reports also give fundraisers the email addresses of their donors so they can communicate with their supporters, update on progress or send a simple thank you.
